Meet Dr. James “Jim” Link

Dr. James “Jim” Link is originally from Springfield, Illinois. He attended the University of Notre Dame where he received his Bachelor of Science graduating with Honors. He received his doctorate at the University of Illinois Dental College with Honors. Dr. Link was also inducted in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society representing outstanding academic achievement. After serving an internship at Vanderbilt University Medical School, he finished his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1989 at Vanderbilt, serving as Chief Resident.

Dr. Link has called Tuscaloosa his home since 1991 and is currently involved in numerous professional organizations. He is a member of the ADA, ALDA, the Academy of Osseointegration, and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has served as Secretary-Treasurer, Vice-President, and President of the Alabama Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Link is board certified and a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He successfully re-certified in 2002 and 2012. He currently serves as an anesthesia examiner for the Alabama dental board.
